COVID-19 Update
UPDATE 3/18/2020 – PLEASE READ
As these unique circumstances surrounding COVID 19 continue to evolve, we want to keep our patients updated on changes happening in the clinic at Essential Family Vision Care. We are following guidelines from the CDC and American Optometric Association to postpone routine eye care until further notice.
Our office will remain OPEN for urgent medical eye care problems, product pickups, and repairs.
We are still here for you, and take your health seriously. You will continue to be updated on any changes happening in our clinic.
New office hours: 9-5, Monday – Friday.
We will be available for phone calls during these business hours at 608-846-5625 to answer any questions you may have, and one of our doctors will be available for your consultation.
As always, you may continue to order contact lenses over the phone. Arrangements can be made to briefly extend your prescription as needed.
When picking up glasses or contacts, we ask that you call ahead to pay by phone and to schedule a pick up time so that we may ensure there are as few people in the office as possible at one time.
When you arrive at the clinic give us a call for car side delivery.
Urgent eye conditions include red eyes, foreign bodies and scratches. If you are experiencing a problem, please call and we will advise you appropriately. Our goal is to help you avoid unnecessary exposure in the emergency room or urgent care.
If you experience an after hours eye emergency, please call 920-222-9132.
We will continue taking the recommended precautions as previously posted.
Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate your support of our small local business and others during this difficult time.
New procedures effective 3/16/2020
Here at Essential Family Vision Care, our patients are our family, and nothing is more important than keeping our family safe. We wanted to take a moment to share what steps we are taking during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are a few things that we can do to keep each other healthy:
All of our exam rooms and testing equipment will continue to be thoroughly disinfected between patients.
All staff are sanitizing their hands after each patient interaction.
Eyeglass frames will be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath before being placed back on frame boards.
Toys in the waiting rooms and exam rooms will be removed until further notice to avoid the spread of germs.
Seating in the reception area is arranged so that plenty of room is available between individuals.
If you are not feeling well, including having a fever or cough, we ask that you reschedule your appointment to a later date.
As always, we are here for all of your eye-related concerns including red eyes and foreign bodies.
COVID-19 can cause viral conjunctivitis, if you have a red, watery eye, and are currently sick, you may be asked to speak with a doctor before scheduling an in clinic appointment.
